Ragi or finger millet is a staple grain in the parts of Karnataka. Which is known to be rich in nutrients and beneficial to Diabetics. It is one of the tastiest and delicious breakfast recipe. Ragi roti is best served with peanut chutney or coconut chutney.
I have shared a healthy and soft ragi roti recipe in a step by step method with a detailed pictures below.
In a saucepan boil 2 cups of water. Add the ragi flour to it . Give a continuous stirring.
Allow the dough to cool . knead the firm dough. the dough should be non sticky as shown in the pictures below.

Take a small portion of the dough roll it like a ball. Dust with the ragi flour while rolling.
Roll the dough with the help of rolling pin. Roll it as thin as possible and cut in a circle shape.
Heat roti tawa or non stick tawa over medium flame. Place the roti on tawa. Flip the roti in frequent intervals.
Grease oil on both the sides. Flip on both the sides.Until its done.
serve with any chutney of your choice.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cup Ragi flour
- 2 cup water
- salt as needed
- oil to grease

- Measure the ragi flour add them to the boiling water. mix with a wooden or steel spoon. give a continuous stirring.
