Peanut Chutney

Peanut Chutney is light, creamy and delicious in taste. It is prepared mostly in breakfast for roti, Idli and dosa. Peanuts are high in protein. Peanut Chutney is prepared with out Coconut. And it’s texture is soft and thick consistency.

I have shared a step by step method to prepare an easy peanut Chutney recipe with a detailed pictures below.

In a pan roast the peanuts till the nuts turn golden brown transfer to a plate. Allow it to cool.

Remove the husk easily by rubbing the peanuts in palm.Now to get rid of the husk use a winnow or Siever. Sieve the peanuts in a large perforations. Add the peanuts in the sieve and sift. The husk will remove easily.

Pour the peanuts in a blender add garlic cloves, red chilli powder along with the salt.

Blend to a fine paste. Add water as needed blend smoothly.

Scrape off the sides and blend smoothly.

In a small pan heat ghee add mustard seeds when it begins to splutter add curry leaves. Remove the heat. Tadka for chutney is ready. After blending the peanuts add the tempering on top.

Serve peanut Chutney with Idli or dosa of your choice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 cup roasted peanuts
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tsp ghee
  • 1 tsp mustard seeds
  • 1 strands curry leaves

INSTRUCTIONS

  • In a pan add the peanuts roast them till golden brown. Transfer to a plate. Allow them to cool.
