Paneer Lababdar is a North Indian dish.  paneer cooked in an aromatic spice gravy. This dish is very flavorful, creamy tasty and delicious best serve with ghee rice ,zeera rice or roti.

I have shared panneer Lababdar recipe in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a vessel add chopped tomatoes, cinnamon sticks, cardamom, almonds, whole red chilies.

Pour little water cook well until the tomatoes and spices turns soft and pulpy. Allow it to cool.

 

In a pan heat oil add bay leaves and chopped onions saute until the onions are translucent. Now add ginger garlic paste saute till the raw aroma of ginger garlic paste goes away.

In a blender add the tomatoes and spices blend to fine smooth paste. Add the puree to the onions.

Add red chili powder, coriander powder, salt, garam masala powder fry for about 2-3 minutes.

Cook and cover until the gravy thickens. Now add water, sugar and paneer cubes.

Lower the flame completely add crushed kasuri methi and cream cook for 3_4 minutes.

Serve paneer Lababdar hot with ghee rice or roti. You can also check my recipe of Phulka/Indian bread /Roti

 

INGREDIENTS

  • 100 gram paneer
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 2 chopped tomatoes
  • 7-8 almonds
  • 1 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 cardamoms
  • 1 onion
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoon Cream
  • 1 teaspoon crushed kasuri methi
  • 2 whole red chilies

INSTRUCTIONS
