Bhindi do pyaza is a simple and easy recipe, its a dry curry recipe served as a side dish for steam rice or roti. To avoid sticky juice present in okra I have roasted okra in a seperate pan. The large quantity of onions prevent sticky juice come out while making a dry curry.

I have shared bhindi do pyaza in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a mixing bowl add salt, ginger garlic paste, red chili powder, turmeric powder, chickpea flour, cumin powder, yogurt and oil mix well to make a thick batter.

wash ladies finger cut the edges and chopped them add ladies finger marinate for 15-20 minutes.

In a non stick pan grease with the oil add ladies finger roast them saute on a medium flame cooking all the sides. once ladiesfinger cooks completely , keep aside.

meanwhile in another kadai heat oil add sliced onions saute till the onions turn translucent add chopped tomatoes.

Add cumin powder,salt and garam masala powder stir well.

Add roasted bhindi and give a good mix cover and simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve bhindi do pyaza garnished with coriander leaves along with roti or serve as a side dish for steam rice.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 gram ladies finger/ okra/ bhindi
  • 2 sliced onions
  • 1 chopped tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon oil
  • 1 teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 tablespoon yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon chickpea flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

INSTRUCTIONS
