Coin Parotta are layered and follows the same recipe preparation with spiral and rolling like lacha paratha. Here is an easy way to make parotta at home.Its totally stress free and fool proof.
I have shared a step by step method to prepare a coin parotta with a detailed pictures below.
In a bowl add maida, egg, sugar, and water.
Add oil and knead the firm dough.
Knead a firm dough. Rest the dough for 15 minutes.
After the rest , form dough balls and rest the dough balls for five more minutes. The gluten in the dough needs to relax each time we handle the dough.
Dust with all purpose flour to avoid sticking roll the dough balls ,flatten the dough with the help of rolling pin and roll it into small disk
Apply oil spread evenly , gently gather the dough by pleats and roll in spirals.
Roll it into spirals
Gently roll the dough and spread the dough for 3-4 inches.
Heat a tawa and place the parottas on the tawa. cook a minute on each side. Then apply oil for each parotta and cook for a couple of more minutes on low flame.
fluff up the parotta by gently tapping the sides of the parotta. serve with mutton , chicken gravy or paneer gravy.
