These sweetened condensed milk butter cookies are soft and buttery, but not extremely sweet.

Simple as can be , these are quick. And tasty . They need only a few ingredients  they are crispy on sides and chewy in the middle You could add in a handful of nuts, chocolate chips or sugar sprinkles as per your choice.

I have shared easy sugar cookies recipe in step by step method with a detailed picture below

In a mixing bowl sieve all purpose flour

Add baking powder sieve all the dry ingredients

Now add icing sugar

Add melted butter

Mix well until the butter and flour are incorporated

Add condensed milk and mix until  the dough is soft and non sticky, scraping the sides of the bowl to make sure everything is evenly distributed.

Knead a firm dough add water as required. If the dough is too sticky no need to add water just combine altogether and refrigerate the dough for atleast an hour so they don’t spread while rolling and baking. The chilling is optional but does make the dough easier to handle.

Dust the dough with all purpose flour

Roll the dough with the rolling pin cut the cookies in a cookie cutter or any mould as per your preference.

Preheat your oven to 180 C / 350 F and line a cookie sheet with parchment paper. Place the cookies leaving atleast 1.5 inches between each cookie sprinkle with granuled sugar
