Mutton Bahar Recipe | Latest Mutton Gravy Recipe

Meat eaten in the right quantity can be nutritious too. I have read in an article that goat meat are lower in calories, total fat and cholesterol, with a high level of iron, Potassium. Thus, goat meat is nutritionally superior to all the other meats including turkey and chicken meat.

I have shared mutton bahar recipe in step by step method with detailed pictures below.

Ina a mixing bowl add ginger garlic paste, salt, red chili powder and oil.

Add mutton pieces to the spices.Marinate the mutton for at least 20-30 minutes.

Meanwhile in a pressure cooker heat oil.  Add sliced onions, salt, saute till the onions are slightly golden brown. Add marinated mutton to it. Saute till the mutton changes its color to brown.

In a blender add coriander powder, pepper powder, red chili powder, almonds, cumin powder, cardamom, cinnamon stick, cloves and garam masala powder.

Blend all the dry ingredients.

Add the above almond and spice powder to the mutton add turmeric powder stir well.

Add tomato puree, mix well.Finally add yogurt, saute for a minute, pour required water and pressure cook the mutton for 4-5 whistle or until the mutton gets tender. As pressure released open the lid check the consistency. If the gravy is runny, reduced the excess liquid on medium heat. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves . INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 tbsp. oil.
  • 3 medium size sliced onions.
  • 2 large tomatoes.
  • Salt as needed.
  • 1 tsp turmeric powder.
  • 2 tbsp. yogurt.
  • 2 tbsp. chopped coriander and mint leaves.

TO MARINATE

  • 250 grams mutton pieces
  • Salt as needed
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon oil
  • 1 tbsp. ginger garlic paste

TO GROUND POWDER

  • 1 tsp coriander powder.
  • 1 tsp red chili powder.
  • 1 tsp cumin powder.
  • 12-14 almonds.
  • 1 tsp pepper powder.
  • 2 cardamom.
  • 1 cinnamon sticks.
  • 4-5 cloves.
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala powder
