Crispy Corn Recipe

Crispy Corn is a quick snack recipe  prepared easily at home. There are different kinds of spices added to crispy corn a thick and thin layer of coated cornflour are prepared. I have shared a simple and quick version of crispy corn with only few spices available at home.

I have shared an easy crispy corn recipe in step by step method with a detailed picture below.

Choose the corn that are firm and plump neither use top young and juicy corn nor use the hard ones. Pick the corn from corn kernels.

Add the corn to the boiling water, add salt boil for 2-3 minutes.

Drain them and rinse in a running water.

Add the corn to the wide bowl sprinkle cornflour, salt. Toss them to coat with cornflour.

Heat oil in a kadai or frying pan drop one corn and check. Oil must be quite hot at this stage otherwise the flour may dispersed in oil.

When they turned up crunchy remove from oil. Place them in a kitchen tissue to remove excess oil.

In a plate add red chili powder, salt, red chili flakes, chat powder, cumin powder and mix well.

Add chopped coriander leaves and chopped green portion of spring onions to the crispy corn. Add the above spices toss well.

Immediately transfer the corn to serving plate squeeze lemon juice.

Serve crispy corn with extra chili as per desired.

INGREDIENTS

  • 2 corn cob
  • 1 teaspoon red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chili flakes
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon chat powder
  • Salt as needed
  • Oil for deep frying
  • 2-3 tablespoon cornflour
  • 2 tablespoon chopped spring onions
  • 2 tablespoon chopped coriander leaves
  • 1 lemon
