Beans Mutton gravy | Phali gosht

Phali gosht is yet another simple recipe, Mutton is cooked with onions and tomatoes later beans is added to gravy. Beans mutton gravy is best served with steamed rice and ghee

I have shared Beans mutton gravy in step by step method with a detailed pictures below.

In a pressure cooker heat oil add sliced onions saute till the onions changes transparent. Add ginger garlic paste saute till the raw aroma of ginger garlic goes away.

Add mutton pieces saute till the mutton changes it color to light golden brown.

Now add red chili powder, salt, turmeric powder and coriander powder stir well. Let it simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes.

In a blender add tomatoes and coconut blend to a fine puree. Add them to the mutton.

Pour 1 1/2 cup water . Pressure cook the mutton for 4-5 whistle. As pressure released open the lid. Check the mutton is soft and tender. Meanwhile wash and cut the beans and place them in a gravy.

Pressure cook for 1-2 whistle until the beans are tender.

Serve hot with steam rice.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 250 grams mutton pieces
  • 2 medium size onions
  • 2 medium size tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
